I’m thinking outside the box, which would be the book…
Quiet pages are fun to make and fun to own. The troubling part is organizing them into a manageable book that is workable by little fingers. And quiet books can get awfully thick!
I’ve done away with that aspect altogether; my Quiet Pages are all single items. Everything the child needs to play with the page will be contained on that page, either on its front or its back. Page thickness is not an issue since it stands alone.
The pages are stored in a box (a wooden box or a plastic box or a cardboard box) – easy to reach, easy to play with, easy to store. This allows children to remove pages at their leisure and share them with ease.
I have just started making these pages for my grandchildren. I’ll post them with full tutorials as regularly as I can.
I’ll also link to many astonishing pages that other talented people have created that have helped my ideas develop. It is always such a pleasure to peruse these great projects.
